Yesterday was a *huge* day - 12 hours touring the Scotland Highlands - it's going to take *several* days to cover all of that!
But! One of the aspects covered by our guide was several names of whiskies (see how I avoided that whole spelling issue?!?) to try out.
Today was a quiet day for us - sleep in, get groceries, and do some tasting of whiskies...
We started by walking to a pub known for tastings - but, as everyone is still careful (due to you-know-what), they had no outside seating, and we weren't going to jeopardize our vacation - so, I got some advice on where to buy some various bottles 🙂 - we bought a couple to try at home (and found out that some tempting types could be fairly easily found in France).
So... Here we go!
Scottish Music to go with it 🙂 |
These are both Highland types, but very very different!
Both are *fantastic* - the Blair Athol is more mellow and sweet, very caramelly. But the Clynelish has... something... else.
~~~
In Scotland, these were either side of 50£ - I'm kinda wondering what it might be in France (our spirits guide told us about some that would be available at home)
What we went in search of: Dalwhinnie 15 year.
