To me, the most magnificent stretch of Scotland in "inclement weather" is the section of the A82 covering the Rannoch Moor - see here for more. I can't even think of a landscape so evocative, so mystical, so... amazing. I'm just a little upset that I didn't get *any* photos of it - it was just stunning! And when I searched for other pictures, well... They just didn't do it.
I have to say, if I ever come back this way, I would hope for similar mystical weather, and a bit more control over photo-stops.
