Spain 2023 Sevilla Tower

Today's view of Sevilla is brought to you by the Sevilla Tower, fondly known as The Lipstick 🙂

At 180.5 meters (almost 600 feet) tall, it's the highest building in Sevilla (and in Andalusia) - the view from the 37th floor shows the different sides of Sevilla...

Agriculture is big in the area - here are fields just across the Guadalquivir

You can just make out the port on the right horizon - the giant "giraffes" sure look small!

The Guadalquivir (one branch), crossed by the Puente del Cachorro (it's the bridge with sunshades) on the left, and the metal Isabel II bridge (also known as the Triana Bridge) on the right.
The Triana neighborhood, known for its ceramics, is on the right; on the left and slightly behind the bridge is the circular bullfight arena.
Behind that, and further to the left, is the cathedral and its bell tower.
The cathedral's bell tower is known as La Giralda, and stands 104 meters (342 ft).
To the right of that is the Alcázar, then the Maria Luisa Park and the San Telmo Palace.

This is what a European city of 1.6 million people looks like!

The furthest bridge here is the Alamillo - its support slants up to the left, and looks like a sail. The Schindler Tower, 65 meters tall, is in the foreground.

~~~
We took a bus there - to get to the viewing floor, take the outside escalator down then enter the tower - pay your 8€, and get the elevator up.
Full disclosure - I did not go up! I had a café con leche while Rick cruised around the heights 😉
