Paris with Parents, Day 3

Parents in Paris, Day 3 was *very* busy!

It was Saturday, and we had tickets to the Louvre! We caught our Uber ride at 9:00, tossing in the wheelchair, and had an easy ride :-)

Frankly, that set the tone for the day! Whiz bang, everything worked out!

The ceiling!
So many photos didn't turn out, but fortunately, you can see good ones online. Mine of the Mona Lisa is in the album, but it's really just proof :-\  See (and read) more here.

We had lunch at the museum, then caught a hop-on-hop-off bus

At the Eiffel tower, we hopped off, then went on a cruise on the Seine river - it's a different perspective!

By this time, it was getting late and we were all running out of steam. We got back on the bus and took the scenic route home :-)

This would be our last dinner together in France, so we got take-out from a fantastic neighborhood restaurant - from the Ivory Coast! "Bon ti Gou" was amazing! And it is a francophone country, after all...

~~~
I had checked the Louvre app ahead, and it didn't seem to do much for us - maybe it works better when you're on site? Anyway, I had a list of things to see, and figured we'd get a map there. Then I left my list behind 🙄. Well, there's just waaaay too much to see in one visit, so - next time.
Wheelchairs are available in exchange for an ID, and the staff are amazingly helpful! We asked how to get to the Venus de Milo, and got a complicated path, but with a shortcut and most of our must-see works on the way.
Fried plantain is called alloco in the Ivory Coast. Besides chicken and alloco, we also had sauce maffé and spinach sauce, all with meat and rice, with hot sauces on the side.
