Loire Valley - Getting There

Yesterday, we drove to Tours, our home base for the Loire Valley - it was quite a drive!

Most of it was on the autoroutes (freeways, often with tolls) - here's the aire (rest stop) where we stopped for lunch 

Here's our route - it took a *lot* longer! We dealt with construction, plus a slowdown due to roadside clippings strewn across about a kilometer of freeway (making it quite slick!). Part of our delay was sitting at the bridge in Sète - yes, right off the bat! If only we had left on time...
