Well, we couldn't wait - had some cherries *before* dinner (then strawberries after LOL).

The season for peas is so short, I forget from one year to the next what worked.
What didn't work this time - I think the peas were a little too mature, and I undercooked them (salted boiling water, add peas, cover, lower heat, cook about 2 minutes, till they all float) - still, better than overcooked! Hopefully I'll be able to try again next week...
