We are smack in the middle of Chianti country, and *harvest* season! There is a wine festival going on this week, and we had it on our tentative list. And we pass wine shops with tastings on practically every outing.
But, we have an alternative! Our local grocery store has a nice selection of chianti wines, many of which are DOCG or DOC.
So far, we've tried these ^^. They are in our preferred order, left to right (and if you can believe it, our favorite was even on sale, 2 for 1!)
And we still have several more days in Florence :-)
