Beach Walk with Friends

Today, we met some friends and took a fantastic beach walk together! It totalled about 5 miles, and ended with a little apéro and mock interview for nationality on their balcony (cocktails helped...)!

There were more than a few suggestions on how to present ourselves better (ok, that's really "myself") - words to avoid, arguments to make, etc. 

We realized that we hadn't meet with friends, in person, in FIVE months! That's just too long. But today was a celebration of sorts - all four of us have had our first vaccine! We all had a sense of relief...

Beach and Budget

Doing some catching up here...

Beach:

The other day was perfect for a walk along the beach! We went about 1 1/2 miles - sunny, 67°F (~20°C), light wind (no sandblasting this time), plenty of space. Practiced my interview Q&A.

Remembered to dump the sand out of my shoes this time 🙄

Budget:

Prompted by a group question, we did a 12-month look-back at what we spent on groceries (food, cleaning supplies, drinks, etc.). It's been pretty flat, averaging 150€ per week for the 2 of us. April last year had a spike - we had a little bit of panic-buying, and tried out online orders due to the confinement - fewer options, more expensive items. We spent a little less in October - not exactly sure why (seasonal, perhaps).
